ALTOVAL

Selling a downgraded item
calls for a different channel.

We sell what you can no longer sell yourself, on the channels that match the item’s real condition, or in lots to trade buyers.

How we sell

Choosing the channel

The channel depends on the product family, the condition, the unit value and the volume. A single item in very good condition does not go where a homogeneous grade C pallet goes.

You decide which channels are open to your brand and which are closed.

The listing and the price

The listing shows the grade, the observed defects and real photographs of the item being sold. The price reflects the condition and what the market actually accepts.

Describing a defect costs less than the dispute it causes when hidden.

The sale and the settlement

We handle the listing, buyer questions, shipping and after-sales. The proceeds come back to you on the terms of the contract.

Every sale is linked back to the original item and its exit decision.

The channels we sell on

We list on generalist and specialist marketplaces, and we sell in lots to a network of verified trade buyers.

Frequently asked questions

Do we keep control of our brand image?

Yes. You approve the permitted channels, the resellable grades and the wording displayed. A brand can be excluded from public resale entirely.

Who sets resale prices?

Pricing rules are defined with you: floor price, discount by grade and permitted channels. We apply them and report back.

How do you choose the channel?

By product family, actual condition, unit value and volume. A single item in very good condition and a grade C pallet do not go to the same place.

What no longer sells with you may well sell elsewhere.

Tell us what is stagnating. We will tell you through which channel it can move again.
